Lake Simcoe Gatehouse is an original structure of 3 on the estate in Keswick Ontario. This existing retreat house on the shores of a large Ontario lake had some interesting architectural features to work with. The Clients’ interest in natural and indigenous materials and art led to a subtle design of rich materials and minimal architecturally integrated lighting.

A plaster and brick building, this served as a garage and stable for the horse and buggies of the original owner.  Our work included insulating the structure and re-purposing a hay loft to a multi-purpose room.  The exterior of the building was preserved and repaired.
